This open-source archive of selected early 20th century Greek commercial letter marks has been created (a) out of mere pleasure for working with Bezier curves :-), (b) out of curiosity for the inner design logic of each one of these marks, and (c) so as to compile an ever-evolving collection of brilliant, influential designs from the very first years of an important craft.
An effort has been made to find as much information about this graphic items as possible. However this was not possible in many occassions. The attributed bibliography (see below) provided the initial images of ephemera upon which the presented vectors were based. However, the year of the items most probably refer to the year of the ephemera production rather than the actual year the sign or logotype was designed. This is also the case for the designer of each item (he may be the designer of the ad rather than the logo). Thus, I would be grateful if anyone could help with providing more information about their year of creation and their creators.
It goes without saying that I do not claim any copyright for the presented designs and I have no plans on using them commercially. This is why you can download the SVG file of each item and this is why they are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License. Almost all of the designs refer to obsolete companies and products. However, if an item presented in this collection infringes any intellectual or commercial rights, let me know and I will get it offline immediately.
A note on navigating through the logos: you can use your keyboard left and right arrows to navigate through the logos, the b key to toggle the color of a logo and the escape button to return to the home screen.
